Exhibition: MAR – Criaturas Sonoras (drawings, sculpture and sound works by 75 children, inspired by Portimão's sea and river) is on at Museu de Portimão in Portimão — theatre, exhibition and concert life on this coast runs all year, and it is one of the quieter pleasures of living here rather than visiting.
Check opening times before you travel — smaller venues and municipal galleries keep their own hours, and some close between seasons.
